I bought it for gaming, but I have found that it makes my internet surfing and general computing much easier with the pre-programed and programable buttons. Also, I still had a $15 credit from a Microsoft class action suit, so it was a no brainer. I purchased this mouse after reading many reviews and comparing it to the competition. I havent noticed any difference in my mousing when I alter the weights or the pads, but I'm just not that sensitive.I am very happy with it, Now I cannot go back to my "standard" mouse. I must say it is at least 200 times better than the standard mouse that came with my PC. I have big hands so it suits me fine, I could stand it to be even bigger. Definetly an improvement both for gaming and general use.The reason I only gave it a 4 and not a 5. I would like more programable buttons.
This mouse was actually purchased as a gift for a good friend who's huge into gaming and was yapping about this mouse for ages. So I bought it.Although it was intended as a gift, I HAD to check what it was all about. So, I used it.and I might just have to get one for myself.
The macro function works decent enough. It fits perfectly in my bigger then average hand. They work great and are much better then horizontal because you do not need to move your hand upwards to hit the front thumb button like most mice. I saw some recommendations for this mouse for people with bigger hands and I am glad I listened.
This is a USB wired mouse and it comes with a "cable anchor" which houses all the extra mouse feet and weights. The weight system allows you to customize the weight of the mouse for your own liking. The DPI adjustments do the same. I got this mouse at a great price from Amazon and I am loving it. I highly recommend this mouse and it is a decent gaming mouse. A huge plus to me is the vertical thumb buttons.
The vertical buttons allow you to hit both buttons without moving your hand at all which is great.I also like the fact that the mouse came with 3 different mouse feet, each have a different feel to them and you can choose the one you like. Also, if the feet wear down you will have 2 extras so that is nice.
I use the white mouse feet with 30g of weights. For people with bigger hands, finding the right mouse can be a pain.
You can put your mouse wire into the box so you don't have a cord all over your desk. You can set up 3 different defaults for DPI and can switch between them with 1 button.
You can also customize each button through the use of the included Intellipoint software. This is a big plus for gamers and I really enjoy the cable anchor.
I give this mouse 5 stars.
Am very divided on this mouse. On the one hand it has all of the buttons, fully programable, as I wanted it for gaming BUT, the heel rise on the backside of the mouse is too high, making it a bit of an uncomfortable fit.
It's a nice mouse but if you are planing on using it for online gaming be sure the game doesn't have something like game guard that prevents you from using macros. Before I bought this mouse I was unaware that the macro buttons wouldn't work in my online game until I actually tried using them in the game. The reason I bought this mouse was to use it in my online games so I was pretty disappointed about that. Overall it is a good mouse but I find I don't really ever use the extra buttons now that I can't use them in my games.
